      Sure hope you have better luck with this next one. You should not have had to go through all this BS! On day one they should have replaced that vehicle. IDK your location, I'm not sure if this applies everywhere, but in Texas I know certain contracts can be voided within 3 days of signing. Your videos we're very helpful in that on my next vehicle if I have an issue in that first couple days I will be voiding the contract even if it cost me getting an attorney involved. Seems like no company is accountable to the consumer anymore, it's just sickening. I've been looking at new vehicles because I need a SUV but this will be the last vehicle I buy due to age and finances so it must be reliable with lots of longevity. The last vehicle I bought was in 1998, it is still running strong and I will keep it as my secondary vehicle. LOL, when I bought it I told the dealer it would be my 40 year vehicle 😂. They thought I was joking 🤣. In '86 I bought a suburban and it immediately kept pulling to the right. Dealership tried to tell me alignment was not covered. I told them when you buy a new vehicle you expect it to be aligned correctly factory or in dealer prep. They were good about giving a loaner car for me to get to work but over the course of a couple months every time I picked it up I had the same problem. Then they came up with all kinds of BS excuses. The last day I dropped it off for them to fix the alignment when I picked it up I made them ride with me, and yes it was 'fixed'. Hahahahaha! I guess they did not expect a female to check the air pressure in the tires. I used to fill up with fuel every Friday and check my tire pressure. That is exactly what I did on that day immediately when I left, at the gas station next to the dealership. I was one hot headed mad ticked off customer. They 'fixed' the alignment by lowering the tire pressures on the driver's side. Why in the hell would they do that? I was demanding to speak to the owner of the dealership, I was as loud as I could get because I wanted everyone to know what they did. They could have done the job in the beginning and it cost way less in employee hours then me coming there every week because they weren't taking care of business. I sincerely wish you the very best of luck! @@TheSneakerPrincipal

      @TheSneakerPrincipal 3 дня назад

      I'm really sorry to hear about your situation with your Honda Pilot. It must be incredibly frustrating to deal with these issues, especially when you're facing such high repair costs so early into owning your vehicle. It's important to keep pushing for a fair resolution and to hold corporations accountable for their products. Don't give up-your persistence not only helps you but can also drive change for others who might be facing similar problems. Document everything and consider reaching out to a consumer advocate or legal advice if necessary. Sharing your experience widely can also pressure the company to act more responsibly. Keep advocating for yourself!

    Time to exercise the lemon law and get a 24 4Runner while you can. This is the last year for N/A V6 on the 4Runner. That engine is a tank. My dad still has the same engine on his 2012 4Runner with over 200k miles.

    Man, I feel your frustration. Car dealership, all they care about is get you in the door sign the lease/loan hand you the key. Too bad people don't have the option of dealing directly with the car manufacturer. FYI, anyone out there buying a new vehicle, please don't let the finance manager sell you all the extra insurance crap. You will be wasting money on the extra insurance 99.9% of the time.

    • @TheSneakerPrincipal
      @TheSneakerPrincipal 3 дня назад

      Thanks for the heads-up and solid advice! It's a tough scene at those dealerships, and you're right, it would be so much simpler if we could deal directly with the manufacturers. And good call on skipping the extra insurance upsells-they really do know how to stack those unnecessary extras. Really appreciate your insights!

      @@TheSneakerPrincipal I leased a 2022 Pilot EXL AWD... the something in between the dash and the windscreen area started rattling on day two. Took it back to the dealership, they obviously couldnt replicate the issue. I demanded a tech go with me on a test drive to pin point the rattle... tech and service director ride with me and can clearly hear it and they say they will do whatever they can to fix it. They give me loaner honda odyssey for 2 weeks. They could not fix the issue, the service director advised me to learn to live with the dash rattle and not focus on it... I was appalled at his solution. I called HONDA CUSTOMER SERVICE.... They requested me to go to an Autonation Honda here in arizona to get this issue fixed. Went to this service center and they gave me a new 2024 pilot as a loaner and kept my car for 61 days lol They took apart the dashboard and couldnt figure it out. I have been dealing with this issue for 2 years now... 1 more year left of this HONDA lease... I CANNOT WAIT TO GET THE F OUTTA THIS CAR..... Apart from the horrible interior quality... the build quality sucks too, my passenger door gave me a cut because there was a sharp piece of poor paint job sticking out the corners or the doors. The transmission sucks ass... jerks and clunks every cold start. Sometimes it takes about 2-3 seconds for it engage from REVERSE TO DRIVE.... I have never driven a car so poorly built ever. I have had Hyundais from the 2018 to 2020 era and they had been free of any such issues. My 2018 HYUNDAI ELANTRA SPORT (turbo) was made in KOREA and clearly there is a huge difference in cars built in asia vs cars built in north or south america. I had a 2020 VW JETTA leased brand new (made in mexico).. It ended up being a lemon and VW USA bought it back from me within 3 months of ownership.

    The idea of using a rangefinder for event photography fills me with fear, let alone if I was being paid for the result! I've only shot a couple of old soviet rangefinders, and I just don't like the process, using different focal lengths get convoluted, doing anything close up is just a crap shoot. Some people can get good at it, and Bresson and Capa didn't really have too many other choices. I use an old technical 4x5 sheet film camera, so It's not like I'm lazy, I just don't find the awkwardness that rangefinders brings to actually come with any real advantages (and no, seeing what is outside of the frame lines, isn't enough).

      I appreciate your perspective on using rangefinders for event photography. It's true that they can be quite challenging, especially with the intricacies of using different focal lengths and managing close-up shots. Honda and toyota both have own issues. It's just that they have been under reported. Don't go after the brands. It'll bite you back. Go after the car.

    The probability of failure is actually higher with new machines than after they have been in service for a while. The phenomenon is known as "infant mortality" failure. The graph that describes this is called the bathtub curve and it's used in reliability engineering. The reason this happens is because there are a lot of ways in which a brand new machine can have problems. There can be manufacturing defects, assembly mistakes, material quality problems, and internal contamination. So imagine if somebody made a mistake when assembling your transmission, like they forgot to tighten a critical bolt. If you have a brand new transmission with a loose bolt, when do you expect the problem to progress to total failure? After 200k miles? No, it will fail as soon as the bolt experiences some vibration and wiggles out. This is more likely to happen early-on and hence it will cause an infant mortality failure. Once you get past the infant mortality stage, failures tend to happen randomly with a certain probability, usually a very low one for vehicles. Then after a very long time the probability of failure increases again due to wear-out and fatigue related failures. So while intuitively it seems like something that is brand new should experience the lowest failure rate, it is actually one of the most likely times you will experience a problem. I would give them a chance to swap the transmission because even if you switch to a different vehicle, it will also be starting with a brand new transmission. Your concerns and hesitancy to continue trusting the vehicle are understandable, but your arguments for why you are concerned actually apply to all vehicles you could possibly drive, so I don't view switching to another vehicle as a more effective way to address the concern. One thing you should 100% definitely do is report a vehicle safety problem with the NHTSA. Your experience could be a sign of a systemic problem that requires a recall, and a transmission failure is a serious safety risk. These reports can trigger the NHTSA to initiate an investigation and even a small number of incidents can trigger them to take action.

    Make the dealer buy back and give you another one. Not good service there. I have a good 24 elite model. But I would be mad if that happened. Hope Honda corporate sees this and makes sure the dealer does right by you. Things can go wrong but the dealer needs to make things right if issues occur

    I applaud you for continuing your photographic journey and using the tools that help you create your vision! When we find the right fit (gear) for the creation of images our mind's eye has, it allows us to put our efforts into creation instead of worrying about the gear, settings, etc. I shut down my studio at the end of 2023 and am trimming down the "work" I do, which in turn is allowing me to do a big sell off of gear. Funny thing, I'm going back to using smaller gear with lower MP count (i.e., my Olympus PEN-f, Panasonic S1R instead of my Fujifilm GFX 100 II, etc.). Wishing you all the best and keep creating amazing images!

    Minority Leica M11-P user here 👋🏽!! Good points and respect how you came to your decision. It is an absolute luxury, but not a necessity… (like a Rolex) I use it for daily captures, family, RUclips content etc. but the camera I use when I need run and gun capabilities, quick, sticky AF… it’s the Canon R3! If I didn’t have a modern mirrorless camera with AF, I don’t think I would consider the M11-p. But owning it has really helped me appreciate the process of making photographs and the options for glass is just incredible! All the best on your journey, my friend. 🎯💯📸

      M10R > M11P I tried using a M11P and it does not compare to the M10R in terms of usability and marginal improvements in IQ. trust me, wait for M12 or something but they dropped the ball on the M11. I have used all digital Ms except for the M8 all the way up to the M11P and I went back to the M10R which I regret selling it in the first place. I'm not sure if people who have never used a pre M11 would notice.

The shutter sound is velvety smooth. And the bottom plate is more interactive than just pushing a battery in and out. I’ll definitely wait for the M12P because I do want the Leica script on the top.
